Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 3 years of experience in high-risk coronary and STEMI interventions for a Level 1 Trauma, acute care setting.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a cardiac cath lab with 6 suites and an average of 18 cases per day
  • Adult patient population with common diagnoses including coronary and neuro cases, and high-risk coronary patients
  • Procedures require scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring
  • Day shifts with 5x8 hour days per week, starting at 7 : 00 AM or 8 : 30 AM as assigned
  • Weeknight and weekend call required, including 4 weekends during the 13-week assignment
  • 30-minute call response time required
  • Potential floating to EP (electrophysiology) or IR (interventional radiology) as needed
  • Uses Epic and McKesson charting systems; experience preferred
  • Supervisor / charge available during 6 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Orientation consists of 5 shifts during the first week
  • Call coverage includes holidays as scheduled
  • Scrubs are provided
  • Must comply with drug-free campus requirements, including passing a drug screen
  • Could be floated to related departments based on facility needs

  • Minimum of 3 years recent cath lab experience required
  • Must have experience scrubbing / circulating STEMI and high-risk coronary interventions
  • Must be willing to learn circulating / monitoring in neuro interventional cases for call
  • Active ARRT RT(R), BLS (AHA), and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT R) required
  • Active IL license or proof of application required for consideration
  • Ability to meet physical demands of scrubbing and circulating in a busy acute care environment
  • License required if applicable
