Purpose

The Senior Administrative Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall management and leadership of the Course Support and Instruction services area within the Sanger Learning Center at The University of Texas at Austin.

This position primarily involves planning, organizing, resourcing, and managing CSI programming, services, and assessment.

The coordinator supervises, manages, and oversees professional, graduate, and undergraduate staff and represents SLC on University and external committees.

Responsibilities

Administration : Maintains programmatic oversight of CSI housed within the Sanger Learning Center, including developing and facilitating content, curriculum, programming, and services.

Works with the Director and fiscal personnel to develop and operationalize a sustainable budget for all CSI. Responsible for day-to-day budgetary management, ensuring maximum resource utilization, and maintaining the programs' favorable financial position.

Maintains organizational oversight of CSI, including fiscal, personnel, and records administration. Represents the department to various institutional divisions, working groups, external government agencies, vendors, faculty, staff, and students.

Ensures timely and accurate communications are disseminated vertically and horizontally across the department, institution, and stakeholders as needed.

Supervision & Direct Student Support : Serves as direct and secondary supervisor of student service personnel comprising CSI.

Provides training and continuing education, manages performance, conducts performance evaluations, manages corrective and disciplinary action as needed, and motivates full-time and student staff to peak productivity, performance, excellence, and innovation.

Provides direct service to students, teaches Sanger Learning Center classes and workshops, and provides academic counseling.

Development and Viability : Helps lead strategic planning and resource allocation for CSI. Serves as a department leader in developing strategic priorities for SLC to complement division and institutional mission, vision, and strategic plan.

Collaborates with department and division leadership and internal / external partners through communication, collaboration, and consultation on strategic design and effective partnerships.

Assessment and Reporting : Collaborate with the director or their designee to develop and implement program evaluation initiatives.

Identifies effectiveness targets, works with department leadership to adopt them as goals, and assures their attainment by implementing effective and relevant accountability and assessment practices.

Professional Development : Maintains, participates, and contributes to current knowledge of academic support, theory, and best practices and provides training and continuing education to staff to continuously advance programs and student services.

Required Qualifications

A master's degree in educational psychology, higher education administration, or a relevant field, and three (3) years of progressively responsible experience, including at least one (1) year of program administration experience and supervision.

Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated experience within a higher education setting or with the college student population. Familiarity with UT-Austin systems including, Qualtrics, Advisors & Reporting Toolkit, Workday & Canvas.

Strong project management skills, including strategic planning, formulation, design, implementation, and tracking. Proven ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and constituents.

Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge of computer software skills, including using Microsoft Office programs like Outlook, Word, & Excel.

Salary Range

$65,000 + depending on qualifications

Retirement Plan Eligibility :

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
