The Engineering Sr Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to drive a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and deployment of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team.

The overall objective of this role is to lead efforts to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned framework.

Responsibilities : Provide conceptual analyses for a variety of broad and complex issuesManage all products from design to implementation and ongoing performance according to business needEnsure all technology standards are developed, understood and adhered to operationally around the globeEnsure that Citi makes appropriate strategic choices in onboarding, managing and exiting of vendors from the product portfolioManage a department of multiple teams from various technology disciplines, overseeing planning, performance management / counseling, pay decisions and other personnel actionsProvides an environment where Subject Matter Experts can prosper and deliver effectivelyOversee the technology budget and manage the budget and forecasts to ensure relevant targets are metUtilize in-depth knowledge of how technology integrates within Citi and of direct competitors products and servicesMake evaluative judgments based on analyzing information in complicated or unique situations, utilizing multiple sources of informationNegotiate with senior leaders across functions, and with external parties, as requiredAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications : 15+ years of relevant experience in an Engineering role with extensive experience in business, functional and people management.

Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and / or global environmentProject Management experienceConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communicationComprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practicesDemonstrated analytic / diagnostic skillsAbility to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teamsAbility to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiativeAbility to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirementsProven track record of operational process change and improvementEducation : Bachelor’s degree / University degree or equivalent experienceMaster’s degree preferredCiti’s Safety and Soundness Technology organization serves enterprise wide suite of products providing a full range of innovative and comprehensive set of services accelerating Citi’s Risk and Control Transformation.
