Job Description

The Wealth Management Lending Quality Review Specialist ensures the integrity and compliance of loan documentation by conducting thorough quality reviews after document generation. This role verifies that all information such as borrower details, property address, and loan terms accurately reflects system records and adheres to internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and investor standards. The specialist is responsible for correcting straightforward discrepancies and escalating complex issues to the Post Underwriting team for resolution.

Key responsibilities :

  • Review loan documentation to ensure consistency with system data, including borrower identity, property address, and loan terms.
  • Identify and resolve documentation discrepancies; regenerate documents when corrections are straightforward.
  • Escalate complex or non-standard issues to the Post Underwriting team for further analysis and resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and investor standards throughout the documentation process.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including lending teams and legal counsel, to obtain missing information and resolve documentation issues.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and timeliness to support efficient loan processing and exceptional client service.
  • Document and report quality review findings to support continuous improvement and risk mitigation efforts.

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience. Typically eight or more years of relevant experience in lending operations, financial services, or related field.

Preferred Skills / Experience :

Advanced knowledge of legal documents used in loan processing

Ability to collaborate with legal staff to resolve complex documentation issues

Strong critical thinking skills applied to loan documentation construction and review

Proficiency in bank documentation software and systems

Comprehensive understanding of closing policies and procedures, funding policies, underwriting requirements, and applicable regulatory standards

In-depth knowledge of credit policies and approval processes for assigned products

Proven ability to work effectively and accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume professional environment

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Location Expectations :

If located in Minneapolis, candidate must be able to work Pacific Time hours (10am-7pm). This role offers a hybrid / flexible schedule, which means there's an in office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
