Campbell Taylor Washburn is looking for an individual with 3+ years of accounting experience to join our team as a Staff Accountant.
This position will function as a supporting team member to our internal accounting department. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Controller and Firm Administrator.
Responsibilities : (List may include, but not limited to, the following)
- General Ledger - Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist with the month-end and year-end close process
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including bank statements and credit card accounts
- Accounts Payable - Maintain accounts payable, record bills, pay invoices, prepare 1099's, record / track fixed assets
- Accounts Receivable - Support the A / R Team when needed, with accounts receivable, billing, deposits / cash applications, and research discrepancies
- Assist with various ad hoc projects supporting Firm initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of GAAP, accrual basis accounting, and financial reporting
- Knowledge of both QuickBooks desktop and online
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Routinely resolves issues and suggests improvements
- Excellent time-management and ability to prioritize changing tasks
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
- Must be able to work in a team environment or independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of CCH Access would be a plus
