Overview
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to administration in the Dean's Suite.
Responsibilities
Assist in office clerical duties including, but not limited to, the following :
- Assists with general correspondence, memoranda, applications, and scheduling appointments
- Responsible for front desk reception that includes answering incoming calls and welcoming students and visitors
- Handles requests for assistance and potential questions; provides information and clarification
- Fields all phone requests
- Assists with letters and coordinates processing
- Assists with preparation of files
- Takes minutes for assigned Committee Meetings.
- Assists with reports and maintains records
- Compiles and tabulates statistical information
- Performs special projects and assignments as requested by the Dean or Directors
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education / Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year administrative experience
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Well organized
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
