Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 17 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position requiring night shifts, BLS, CPI, and NIH certifications, with mandatory holiday and weekend coverage. Responsibilities Work in the Med / Surg Tele boarder unit within a hospital setting Patient population includes boarders from all units except critical care Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM) Every other weekend and holidays are required as scheduled Floating within the hospital is required, with travelers given first priority to float Boarder unit supports all patient types except those in critical care Candidates must be comfortable floating to different units within their scope of experience Holiday coverage is mandatory as scheduled by the unit Block schedules or schedule restrictions are not permitted or guaranteed Return travelers must have been away at least 6 months from the system, and former staff must be gone for 12 months before returning as travelers Most locations allow one contract and one extension before requiring a six-month break from the facility or unit Requirements Active MD or compact RN license required at the time of consideration Current BLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications are required ACLS certification is preferred At least two satisfactory professional references from most recent employers, including one supervisor or manager and one charge RN Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622315.
