About The Position

Job Title : Technologist Job Specialty : MRI Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 3x8 Days Guaranteed Hours : 24 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years in MRI License : ARRT (MR) Certifications : CPR Certification Must-Have : Up-to-date MRI experience and certifications Job Description : Perform all required MRI procedures through proper positioning and technique, consistently demonstrating good judgment in evaluating the resulting diagnostic studies.

• Screen patients before exams for any contraindications or precautionary measures, such as pain, claustrophobia, or allergies.
• Obtain and review examination requisitions to gather essential information, including the doctor's order, patient history, and any special requirements.
• Explain procedures thoroughly and answer patient questions to alleviate anxiety and facilitate cooperation.- Monitor patient conditions within the department and assist radiologists in performing any necessary medical attention.
• Comply with company policies, hospital procedures, and emergency plans.- Maintain diagnostic equipment by cleaning, disinfecting, and handling with care.

Keep the work area orderly and check to ensure emergency equipment is in good working order.- Report any equipment problems to the supervisor.

• Prepare examinations for interpretation by the radiologist, ensuring correct identification and processing of films, and compiling clinical history and previous exams for comparison.
• Assist radiologists during the administration of contrast media, practicing aseptic techniques as required.- Recognize allergic reactions and respond according to emergent patient care procedures.
• Adhere to standard precautions and infection control policy standards.- Assist with patient scheduling and preparation prior to examinations.
• Ensure each patient receives the highest quality service possible.- Conduct examinations with regard to the patient's age, condition, or other special needs.
• Comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and company policies.- Perform other projects as may be requested.
