2. API and UI based testing experience will be a plus point.
3. Automation knowledge is a must - Python, Robot.
4. Experience in Linux, Kubernetes,VMs a plus
5. Team Player and Multi-tasking ability.
About the Position :
The Software Staff Engineer in Test is a highly technical role in Networking Products validation and automation of test cases.
The Candidate should be well versed with networking fundamentals, L2 / L3 protocols, MPLS, Segment Routing, EVPN, virtualization technologies, and test frameworks and test automation.
Knowledge of Kubernetes and Linux will be a plus.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Ability to interact with Development and PLM community for Requirement Analysis and devise Test strategies.
- Design quality test plan based on Requirements
- Building topology required for testing
- Drive automation strategy and review automation of team members.
- Execute test cases and create automation scripts.
- Provide weekly reports on progress
- Bug Analysis and prioritization.
- Mentor team members
Desired Technology Knowledge on :
- Switches, Routers and IP Networking Fundamentals.
- Expertise in below technical areas
- Layer 2 :
o VLAN, DHCP, STP, VXLAN
Layer 3 :
o OSPF, ISIS, BGP
o MPLS, LDP, RSVP, L3VPN, L2VPN, Segment Routing.
- Linux, Kubernetes,VMs and experience in Jira work enviornment
- Automation knowledge is mandatory for all technical areas - Perl, Python, Robot
Experience / Qualification :
BE / BS / MS from reputed university / college
8+ years of experience in networking products qualification
Certifications in networking like JNCIA / JNCIS / JNCIP or equivalent will be an added advantage
Other Details :
Minimum Salary : $179,200.00
Maximum Salary : $257,600.00
The pay range for this position is expected to be between $179,200.00 and $257,600.00 / year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave.
Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an at-will position and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department / team performance, and market factors.
Juniper’s pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
