About The Position
Job Title : Level 2 Radiology MRI Technician Job Specialty : MRI Technologist Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Friday to Monday, 7 : 30 AM - 5 : 30 PM (4x10 hours) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum of 2 years' experience required License : Not specified Certifications : ARRT certification, AHA BLS required Must-Have : Pediatric experience Job Description : Analyze patient histories and complete screenings for pacemakers and injuries involving metal objects.
- Prepare and administer contrast dyes.- Address patient concerns, ensuring they are comfortable and calm during scans.- Perform regular inspections of MRI equipment, scheduling maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Position patients and complete MRI scans according to physician specifications.- Ensure that MRI rooms are kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
- Train junior MRI Technologists and provide support to new staff.- Write reports and escalate any issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Carry out quality assurance procedures and implement improvements as required. Additional Skills : - Experience with GE equipment is highly desired.
