Title : Coordinator II, Federal Programs

Under general supervision, assists with implementation and monitoring of state and federal programs to ensure compliance and support of school system improvement efforts;

and assists with Federal Programs as assigned and funded

Essential Functions :

Tasks and responsibilities will be in accordance with Federal Programs and in concurrence with implementing the Strategic Plan.

Other duties may be required and assigned.

Collaborates with various departments, schools, and external stakeholders relative to Federal Programs; conducting professional development workshops;

and providing guidance to departments, schools and external stakeholders

• Procures resources and services to address District, department and local school needs relative to Federal Programs
• Gathers documentation from the schools based on Federal Programs guidelines
• Provides site-based training, technical assistance, and guidance to all Title schools regarding allocations of the Federal Program budgets including budget status needs assessment, plan development, and expenditure monitoring
• Maintains compliance with all Federal budget related rules, regulations, and legal requirements
• Reviews and monitors Federal grant budget expenditures to verify compliance with requirements
• Provides training to school-based administrators on Federal grant requirements and budget parameters
• Analyzes and interprets data for district and local goal-setting and instructional improvement
• Prepares and reviews reports relative to Title I, Part A and Title IV, Part A for submission to the Georgia Department of Education (GA DOE) and DeKalb County School District (DCSD)
• Provides training to school-based administrators on federal grant requirements and budget parameters
• Prepares and reviews reports relative to Federal Programs
• Analyzes and interprets Federal Programs data for district and local goal setting and instructional improvement
• Organizes and assists with Federal Programs
• Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree in Education, Education Administration or closely related area from a Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university is required.

Minimum three years of budget administration or closely related experience is required. Minimum five years managerial / administrative level or school based closely related experience is required.

If no school administration experience is held, five years of progressive managerial / administrative level experience in a related industry field is required.
