Job Summary : SUNY Brockport invites applications for an Nurse Practitioner Instructor (masters’ terminal degree prepared) position in the Department of Nursing to begin June of 2024.
This half-time 12-month will teach 12 credits a year in the graduate nursing program at SUNY Brockport (both online and face to face), engage in scholarly activity, and service to the department, campus, and profession.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner,Adult / GERO Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, or Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner
- Masters degree in nursing or doctor in nursing practice (DNP) from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education recognized accrediting organization.
- Valid NYS professional nursing license.
- Recent clinical experience as an advanced practice nurse.
- Ability to work effectively with students, public, college community and external constituencies, with an appreciation for cultural and group differences.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Terminal degree from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education recognized accrediting organization.
- Experience with the development of curriculum.
- Experience teaching / precepting advanced practice nursing students.
- Knowledge of basic computer programs and information technology systems.
Work Schedule : variable Salary and Benefits : The Minimum Salary for this position is $42,851.
