Job Description :
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher of Visually Impaired (TVI) to work with in-school age children who have visual impairments.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing specialized educational support to students with visual challenges, ensuring they have equal access to education and opportunities for academic success.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments.
- Provide direct instruction in Braille, orientation and mobility skills, adaptive technology, and other specialized techniques.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ needs and progress.
- Stay current on best practices in the field of visual impairment education.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
- Experience working with students who have visual impairments
- Proficiency in using online teaching platforms and tools
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
