Job Title : Network Security Engineer
Location : Brooklyn, New York, 11201
Pay rate : $65 per hour on W2 only.
This is a Contract position on W2 only no C2C.
This position requires candidate to be an US Citizen or Green card holder.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and Implementation : Develop and implement Fortinet security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS / IPS, and endpoint security systems, tailored to meet client requirements.
- Configuration and Maintenance : Configure and maintain Fortinet devices and services, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
- Security Monitoring and Incident Response : Monitor security systems, identify potential threats, and respond to security incidents promptly and effectively.
- Client Support and Troubleshooting : Provide technical support to clients, resolving issues related to Fortinet products and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
- Documentation and Reporting : Maintain comprehensive documentation of security configurations, changes, and incidents. Generate reports on security metrics and incident responses.
- Training and Knowledge Sharing : Conduct training sessions for clients and internal teams on Fortinet products and best practices in network security.
- Compliance and Best Practices : Ensure all solutions comply with industry standards and best practices. Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and Fortinet product updates.
Qualifications :
- Certification : Fortinet NSE 4 (minimum). NSE 5, NSE 6, or higher certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience : Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network security and Fortinet product implementation and management.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in configuring and managing Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, IDS / IPS, endpoint security, and related technologies.
- Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex security issues.
- Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Team Player : Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and with clients.
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
