Job DetailsA hospital in California is looking for an experienced Labor & Delivery / PP nurse for a travel contract.The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN and CA License.
Job Requirements2 full years of experience in Labor & Delivery / PP.Active BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN and CA License required.
Experience needed in the Mother baby / Postpartum units.Required to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (which includes the day before, holiday, and day after).
C-section experience required : Yes- scrub, recovery, and circulate experience required for L&D. Schedule InformationShifts : 12 hr shifts- 7a, 11a, and 7p.
Weekend Requirement : 4 shifts in a 4 week period.Holidays : 1 Major, 1 Minor.Floor specific orientation : 3 Shifts. Unit Specific Information# births per day, per year : 130 births per month.
Nurse Aides / OB tech : Scrub techs on L& D, otherwise none.Charge Nurse : Yes- shared between L&D and PP.Call Requirement : None on either.
Scrub Color : Provided.Tele : None-will tx out.Vents : None.OB / Neonataologist in house : None-currently working on it. Additional DetailsUnit : Labor and Delivery.
L&D Beds : 10 beds - 2 OR's in L&D.# triage beds : 2 beds.# Postpartum beds : 18 beds.# births per day, per year : 130 births per month.
Certs : BLS, NRP, ACLS, A1 fetal heart monitoring.Ratios : 1 : 1 close to delivery, 1 : 2 otherwise, 1 : 4 couplets on postpart.
FHM System : Obix fetal monitoring.EMR : Cerner.IV Team : None.RT 24 / 7 : Yes.Pharmacy 24 / 7 : Yes.Floating : PP-no unless NICU background for feeder / grower, L&D to postpartum.
Typically don't work interchangably.Common diagnosis / Types of patients : Deliver down to 23 wks, some high risk- Antepartum, HTN , plan to tx out if known cardiac abnormality.
Have perinatology support.EOW; First to Float.
