Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative

As a Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative, you will be essential in providing outstanding service to our commercial insurance clients.

Your role will involve managing policy updates, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and guiding clients throughout their insurance journey.

Key Responsibilities :

Client Interaction : Deliver exceptional service to clients by updating policies, providing quotes, processing payments, addressing inquiries, and supplying necessary documentation.

Policy Reviews : Schedule and conduct appointments or assist producers in reviewing policies, assessing liability limits and exposures, exploring additional coverage needs, evaluating replacement costs, and managing renewals.

Product Information : Offer detailed insights into insurance products and services, quote new business, process renewals, handle cancellations, manage payments, and provide requested documentation.

Issue Resolution : Address and resolve product or service issues by clarifying customer concerns, identifying root causes, explaining solutions, expediting corrections, and following up to ensure resolution.

Policy Accuracy : Review audits and policies for accuracy, facilitating necessary corrections between clients and carriers.

Record Management : Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in the agency management system, including inquiries, comments, and actions taken.

Team Support : Collaborate with team members, provide mentorship, share expertise, answer questions, and participate in formal and informal meetings.

Qualifications :

Licensing : Hold the insurance license required by your state.

Experience : Minimum of two years of experience in commercial lines insurance account management.

Knowledge : Comprehensive understanding of insurance products, rating procedures, underwriting processes, coverages, and industry standards.

Customer Service : Exceptional customer service skills, a professional phone demeanor, and strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Skills : Detail-oriented, organized, able to multitask, and capable of resolving complex issues independently.

Time Management : Strong time management skills with a focus on accountability and the ability to navigate challenging situations effectively.

Technical Proficiency : Proficient in using technology and computer systems, including agency management software, rating tools, and carrier websites.
