Position Summary
The Department of English and Modern Languages in the College of Liberal Arts is accepting applications for a position as Assistant or Associate Professor of British and Anglophone Literature.
Qualifications Minimum Required Education Must have a terminal degree (MFA, PhD) in English / British Literature or other relevant discipline by date of appointment. Minimum Required Experience
- Must have successful, relevant teaching experience at the college level; this can include three (3) or more years of GTA experience.
- Must have proven publishing experience in peer-reviewed publications.
Minimum Required Licenses and / or Certifications None required. Qualifications
- Must be capable of teaching a range of courses within the British and Anglophone literary canons, for general education students as well as majors and graduate students.
- Must demonstrate experience and versatility in inclusive pedagogy.
- The hiring department is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute to creating a more equitable global society that supports diverse cultural experiences through their teaching, research and service.

- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses.

- Advise undergraduate and graduate students.

- Perform departmental and university committee service.
- Attend in-person meetings and events (i.e. commencement).
- Maintain a schedule for professional development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
