Job Posting : Production Manager - Mailroom Operations
Location : Beaverton, OR 97005 (Onsite)
Pay Rate : $33.00-$40.00 per hour based on experience / qualifications
Work Schedule : 4 : 30 PM to 1 : 00 AM PST
Training Schedule : Morning and evening training with both shifts. First week : 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM PST for morning training;
subsequent training during regular shift, 4 : 30 PM - 1 : 00 AM PST.
Position Summary : As the Production Manager, you will oversee printing, mailing, material management, and operations within the mailroom.
This role is pivotal in managing workflow, production schedules, and a team consisting of two department leads, 30 full-time employees, and temporary staff.
You will be responsible for administrative tasks, setting production priorities, workforce scheduling, process improvement, quality control, and ensuring compliance with USPS / UPS / FedEx regulations.
Responsibilities :
Manage and optimize workflow for printing, machine inserting, sorting, handwork, and other production tasks to meet client deliverables and organizational targets.
Provide regular situational reports to Client Services, Operations management, and the Executive Team on department productivity and status.
Collaborate with direct reports to refine department operating procedures, enhancing efficiency and continuous improvement.
Supervise staffing for two departments, including management of overtime and performance evaluations for full-time staff.
Uphold company standards for a safe and productive work environment.
Apply knowledge of USPS rules and regulations for mailing operations.
Job Qualifications and Requirements :
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience managing a production team, demonstrating achievements in meeting operational goals.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including experience presenting to senior management.
Familiarity with USPS rules and regulations preferred.
Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to manage workflow, people, and resources effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of working independently and adapting to changing priorities.
Pay Details : $33.00 to $40.00 per hour
