Application Developer
I have a full time opportunity for an Application Developer (AVP Level) for one of our top investment banks in Midtown Manhattan.

This is a hybrid role with a very generous base salary and bonus structure.
Responsibilities :
- Apply modern engineering principles using Python, SQL and SPARK distributed compute to develop applications and other solutions.
- Develop web applications using modern technologies such as Node, ReactJS, HTML / CSS
- Contribute and build on AWS and Lakehouse platforms using tools like Databricks, or Hive, or Spark
- Work on close partnership with investment teams
- Analyze complex business workflows and translate them into software solutions
- Use cloud based modern CI / CD pipeline and development practices
Qualifications :
- 2-5yrs experience in an application developer or software engineer role
- Experience of working with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Familiar with agile software development
- Exposure to AWS or other cloud computing service
- Knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Databricks, Hive, Spark, and Scala
