Admissions Coordinator

West Gables Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture with Select Medical & West Gables Health, is seeking an Admissions Coordinator. This is a full-time, on-site position working Sunday - Thursday from 9am to 5 : 30pm. The role includes up to $300 in monthly bonus incentives and customizable health insurance packages. There is also an extensive onboarding and training program and an unlimited employee referral bonus program.

Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital is committed to providing exceptional and compassionate care for individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas.

As the Admissions Coordinator, you are one of the first faces our patients see when coming to our rehab hospital. The Admissions Coordinator is a key member of our admissions / business development team and keeps everything moving smoothly within the department.

Responsibilities

The Admissions Coordinator serves as a member of the Business Development Team through managing the referral intake and admission of all patients. You will stay in close communication with all departments to prepare for the day of admission.

A day in the life includes overseeing the pull-through process for the hospital, ensuring that all deficiencies remain at 0%, ensuring every referral is timely and accurately entered, processing timely insurance verifications, assisting in the pre-cert / authorization process, working with team to resolve challenges, providing tours of the hospital, providing customer service, managing LOA's, reviewing and entering daily census, and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What we're looking for includes a minimum of two years' experience performing a broad range of duties with an Admissions or Pre-Admissions Department. Preferred experience includes knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, working with Excel and databases, and previous experience within a physical rehabilitation setting.
