Our client is a very well established international manufacturer of large metal automotive components. They have an immediate need for an experienced supplier quality engineer with the following background.

Summary / ObjectiveMaintaining and improving the Quality System, production processes and overall product quality in thecompany and at suppliers.

Essential Functions1. Implementation of quality planning (APQP and initial sampling)2. Supplier coordination- PPAP approval, conduct audits, issue reclamations, issue charge backs, etc.

3. Examination of laboratory and measurement reports and initiation of appropriate measures4. Preparation, supervision, and closure of customer audits5.

Implementation and monitoring of countermeasures6. Read and interpret engineering drawing, standards, and specifications7.

Create the required inspection documents for auditors8. Oversee customer and supplier visits9. Participation in and managing of quality and customer projects10.

Implementation of internal audits11. Engineering change implementation and monitoring12. Tool, process, and gauge buy offs13.

PPAP submission to customers14. Participation in FMEA, Control Plans, Process Flows, and other process documentationCompetencies1.

English language skills (written and spoken)2. German language skills (written and spoken) preferred but not required3. Spanish language skills (written and spoken) preferred but not required Job Description.
