Software Developer (Geo-spatial Tech)(TS/SCI with Poly Required) - Security Clearance Required

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Software Developer (Geo-spatial Tech) will leverage Geo-spatial and reference datasets to assist Geo-spatial targeters with answering complex operational questions and improving data triage efficiency.
The ideal candidate is hands-on python developer with experience in analytics, data science, and data products. The candidate must be at ease working with little supervision and embody a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Expertise in operational geo-spatial and reference datasets.
- Deep understanding of targeting challenges, mission, and operational requirements.
- Leverage knowledge of targeting mission and datasets to provide innovative solutions to complex targeting questions.
- Deploy solutions vis python scripting, SQL queries, and Elasticsearch queries.
- Work with targeters and data engineers to sustain and advance our organization’s capabilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work / military experience.
- 5+ years of related data analysis and software development experience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Hands-on experience with Python.
- Hands-on experience working with Elasticsearch.
- Experience managing code via GIT repositories.
- Experience managing project requirements via JIRA.
- Experience querying geo-spatial and reference data via SQL and PL / SQL.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytic, critical thinking, and research skills.
