Your opportunity

New Relic is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to join our outstanding Engineering organization! This role will focus on our Launch and EOL programs and be responsible for driving effective alignment from Product and Marketing to our global GTM teams.

The ideal candidate is a strong program manager with extensive experience in leading the planning, execution, and delivery of large cross-functional programs focused on strategic objectives.

What you'll do

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will have a broad impact on the organization through the initiatives you own. Successful program managers in our organization are highly technical, adaptable, analytical, and focused.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead and evolve Launch and EOL processes that orchestrated across the cross-functional landscape from Product to market.
  • Develop close partnerships with Product Marketing to drive execution of new product launches in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
  • Identify and operationalize the metrics and key performance indicators necessary to track progress, and drive issue resolution & mitigation at a granular level across the organization.
  • Drive technical projects from ideation to delivery, including managing complex project schedules and enhance mechanisms to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Raise visibility, identify key risks, surface issues, track changes, drive tradeoff decisions, and create mitigation plans to ensure that leadership is aware and aligned.
  • Drive effective communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.
  • You will be capable of understanding the nuances of your projects, technical architecture, and competent enough to influence executives & all stakeholders to the needed business outcomes.

This role requires

  • 10+ years of proven experience working on a software development team as a technical program manager or product manager.
  • 10+ years of solid experience such as product launches, program management, and / or product marketing in a B2B software company.
  • Solid understanding of launch methodology with experience delivering major and minor product releases.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communicator who seeks to proactively improve and optimize processes while bringing many partners along.
  • Experience working effectively in a changing environment; adaptable and resilient, working towards solutions during times of change.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills at all management levels.
  • Experience using tools such as Google Apps, Jira, Confluence Wiki, Slack.

Bonus points if you have

  • Can anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
  • Can drive programs with a significant amount of ambiguity and facilitate definition and clarity.
  • Inquisitive with technical and business skills to understand, test, and challenge while working harmoniously with the business and technology owners.
  • A good understanding of the New Relic platform and its capabilities.
  • Experience working with remote & distributed teams.
  • Prior experience with high growth companies.

Estimated Base Pay Range : $151,000 - $189,000. The pay range above represents a reasonable estimate of the salary for the listed position.

This role is eligible for a corporate bonus plan. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience.
