Senior Architect Project Manager

Your Role + The Opportunity
As the Senior Architect Project Manager , you will join the firm at our Cincinnati, OH office and be responsible for managing and leading projects from design through construction for both public and private clients within our Higher Education market.
Your work will require you to have highly developed expertise in project management and managing client relationships. This role leads and directs a team of multifunctional employees and engineering / specialty consultants to deliver on agreed-upon budgets, timelines, and the overall project vision and goals.
This role serves as the main point of contact for our clients providing regular updates on progress, communicating changes, and ultimately responsible for cultivating strategic and meaningful professional relationships.
The Role Priorities
- Manage the clients, project staff, and consultants through the project process on multiple complex projects.
- Utilize operational management tools, including workload forecasting, resource planning, and project team development.
- Manage and develop project documents as per client, regulatory, and industry standards.
- Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including identifying and recruiting high-quality staff with leadership potential.
- Create and foster relationships with key clients while managing client expectations.
- Maintain project budgets to ensure profitability.
- Apply interpersonal communication skills to build strong working relationships, resolve challenges, and motivate the project team.
- Collaborate across other disciplines with internal and external team members.
- Promote a workplace culture that is consistent with the BHDP Collective Ambition.
Skills + Qualifications
- A professional, accredited degree in Architecture is preferred, along with 10+ years of experience and professional registration.
- Experience with higher education projects and clients highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Strong knowledge in advanced technology (e.g., Microsoft Project, Deltek Vantagepoint, Revit, Sketch-Up).
- Demonstrated project management and staff leadership success.
- A drive to achieve extraordinary and consistent results.
