About The Position

We are seeking a Radiation Oncologist for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in Illinois. This role commences on Sep 1, 2025, and involves day shifts from Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting On-Treatment Visits and ensuring smooth treatment delivery onsite at a healthcare facility.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct On-Treatment Visits (OTVs) primarily on Wednesdays
  • Be present onsite during clinic hours to ensure uninterrupted patient treatments
  • Collaborate with radiation therapists, nurses, and dosimetrists to provide safe and effective care
  • Monitor and assess patient progress throughout the treatment week
  • Ensure all treatments and procedures comply with facility protocols and safety standards
  • Additional Information

  • Board certification in Radiation Oncology required
  • Must possess a valid Illinois state medical license
  • DEA and CSR licenses are mandatory
  • Certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) are required
  • Proficiency with the Epic EMR system is necessary
