nEducation, Experience, and Licensing Requirements : nCurrent Texas licensure as a Speech Therapist or Speech Therapy CFY nNew grads welcome to apply! nWork setting : nIn-person nLong term care nNursing home nOutpatient nRehabilitation center nAbility to commute / relocate : nOdessa, TX : Reliably commute nLicense / Certification : nTexas Speech Therapy License (Required) nIn-house therapy team, smaller daily caseloads with emphasis on optimizing time with patients, high acuity, AL and IL population, and program and certification support! nThe Parks Senior Living provides short- and long-term nursing and rehabilitation services to the senior population in our community.

nSpeech Therapist Job Responsibilities : nDevelop and implement Speech Therapy plan of care for facility residents and short-term patients.

If CFY, must be under supervision as needed from the SLP clinical supervisor (SLP clinical supervisor available upon starting).

nAssist as needed with patient screens for Speech Therapy. nCommunicate progress and any barriers toward SLP goals with interdisciplinary team members.

nComplete timely Speech therapy documentation in compliance with regulatory, licensing, facility, and payor requirements.

nAssist with maintaining both the rehab gym equipment and treatment area in a safe manner, using good infection prevention methods.

nProvide and document patient, family, and caregiver training regarding each speech therapy patient's specific plan of care and recommendations for follow up.

nMaintain productivity standards as expected by Director of Rehab or Administrator. n
