NOTE : Scheduled hours are a general guideline only. They reflect a typical workday. Specific work to include emergencies may require an adjustment of break and lunch times.
What You'll Do : DAILY
DAILY
- Visit and service all men washrooms at the Daley Building, Lewis / OMP, DePaul Center and CDM for the above items at the beginning of each shift to include the following :
- Restock paper products
- Fill soap dispensers
- Litter pick-up
- Damp mop as needed
- Wipe down of sinks as needed
- Graffiti removal
- Emptying of trash / waste receptacles
- Report broken locks, doors and toilet seats
- Report urinal / toilet / sink problems
- Report lights out
- Report hot / cold / ventilation problems
- Flush all fixtures - report any problems
2. Complete the daily washroom inspection report.
WEEKLY
Responsible for the general upkeep and cleanliness of all signage / tools / and equipment assigned for use.
MONTHLY
- Perform walk-through inspection of all men's washrooms by the second Friday of each month. Submit a written report on all discrepancies found to the Custodial Foreman.
- Perform an inventory check of all plastic / paper and soap products in conjunction with matron and report needs to the supervisor.
AS NEEDED
- Assist other custodians and / or tradesmen with emergencies as specified in Emergency Response / Disaster Recovery Manual.
- Assist other custodians with special set-ups and moves as requested by work order or Facility Operations office.
- Maintenance of all soap dispensers in the Daley Building, Lewis / OMP, CDM and DePaul Center buildings.
- Other custodial duties as assigned.
What You'll Need :
- Previous custodial experience preferred
- Ability to lift a minimum of 60 pounds required
- A means of contact early in the morning during winter months for snow removal
