Senior Accountant

Summary

Provide effective and efficient accounting service and financial support to the organization.

Responsible for franchise revenue accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, payroll, fixed assets and other relevant finance areas.

Job Purpose

• Financial month end close using QuickBooks accounting software
• Ensure financial transactions are recorded in compliance with accounting standards (Franchise Accounting, IFRS, and US GAAP)
• Monthly schedules supporting our books and annual external audit
• Process staff expense claims and payment to vendors
• Payroll
• Tracking of actual costs vs budget
• Support preparation of annual budget and monthly forecast
• Liaise with external payroll admin service provider, external auditor, company tax agent and relevant government agencies
• Support overseas head office on finance queries

Skills

• Proficient in QuickBooks accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of accounting (IFRS and US GAAP) and banking practice standards
• Knowledge of local tax laws and labor laws
• Clear, concise and professional communication
• Good rapport with management team and office colleagues
• Strong relationship management with customers and suppliers
• Discretion in handling payroll and confidential matters
• Having a positive attitude and the initiative to work well without supervision
• Excellent time management, able to prioritize among competing tasks
• Ability to work well under deadline pressure

Education and Experience

• Degree or equivalent in Accounting / Finance
• At least 5 years of accounting experience
• Experience in Food & Beverage, franchise or restaurant industry preferred
