This position is part of a 5-year contract at the Atlantic City Airport, which an ideal candidate would be able to relocate temporarily with a negotiable relocation fee.

$80,000.00-$115,000.00 yearly depending on experience

Responsibilities

  • Provides expertise in the Application of state-of-the-art technology to meet the mission requirements of the customer with a primary focus on facility and site infrastructure and systems.
  • Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
  • Develop engineering reports, calculations, and design packages (scopes of work, specifications, drawings, cost estimates) for a variety of mechanical systems, including Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, in multiple facilities.
  • Review and approve vendor submittals.
  • Provide engineering technical support during the construction phase of a project, including, vendor submittal review, field inspection during installation to ensure all work was accomplished to code and project specifications,
  • Witnessing the testing and balancing of HVAC systems.
  • Providing support during project closeout.
  • Help prepare and review project design drawings and as-built drawings.
  • Development statements of work for Architect and Engineering (A / E) firms and review of A / E design packages.
  • Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
  • Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
  • Oversee Mechanical and HVAC design work throughout the WJHTC campus in the following areas :
  • Modern air-cooled chillers
  • Modern water-cooled chillers
  • Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems
  • Commercial HVAC systems
  • Maintenance & Operation of various HVAC equipment
  • Installations & Commissioning of HVAC equipment
  • HVAC controls / Building Automation System (BAS)
  • Commercial Plumbing Systems
  • Compressed Air Systems
  • Natural gas piping, Pressure Regulators, & Gas meters
  • Hot Water Heaters and Boilers
  • Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.
  • Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products, using drafting tools or computer-assisted design / drafting equipment and software.
  • Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
  • Oversee and inspect corrective and preventive maintenance on mechanical and HVAC equipment throughout the WJHTC campus

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience as a mechanical engineer
  • Knowledge surrounding HVAC / R Design
  • This position is part of a 5-year contract at the Atlantic City Airport, which an ideal candidate would be able to relocate temporarily to a commutable distance with a negotiable relocation fee
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be able to obtain FAA Suitability / Public Trust Clearance
