Core Electric is in need of a Driver.You do not need to have a Class B or Class C drivers license!You will mostly be driving a large pickup truck (F550) or a large van.
There is no over night or long distance travel here either.The radius is anything within about an hour and a half drive of our shop.
Our shop is located in Melvindale, MI, which is just south of Dearborn. We have about 12 other team members at that shop, with another 10 down in Toledo.
We've been in business almost 50 years now.This is a very stable position - we have a large, established customer base, and there's no seasonality to our work.
We can keep you busy all year.
This is a direct hire, full-time role (though we are open to a part-time commitment as well).The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm.
Most days, you'll be making 2-3 trips to various customer locations, either to pickup equipment in need of repair, or to deliver repaired equipment (mostly pumps and motors).
The equipment is typically palleted both ways.
We're looking to pay about $16-22 / hour for this position.We are open to paying as either a W2 with benefits or a 1099, depending on what you prefer.
A W2 team member is eligible for overtime after 40 hrs / week, and double time after 60.

We do provide uniforms and laundering services for our team members.We also provide gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, etc.
The ideal candidate for this position has some basic mechanical and technical ability, to work as an assistant Technician 5-20 hrs / week.
That means using basic hand tools and power tools to help disassemble and reassemble the various pumps and motors that we repair on a daily basis.
If you have mechanical, construction, welding, or other basic skilled trades experience, that is a big plus.
We will be expecting any candidates to be able to reasonably pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle record check.
If you have any DUI's or other major driving violations in the last 7 years, you most likely cannot qualify for this role.
