The Comms Team is responsible for conveying Snap’s mission, vision and values to core audiences within our community, which include Snapchatters, advertising partners, content partners, investors, policymakers, and Snap team members.

This passionate team works hard to show the world what makes Snapchat the best platform for communication and storytelling, and to ensure the narratives about the company, its people, and its products are accurate and compelling.

We’re looking for a Senior Manager to join our growing policy communications team.

What you’ll do :

Work on policy and related communications strategies to shape and protect the reputation of Snap among key stakeholders, including policymakers, regulators, experts, and more.

Contribute to meaningful public affairs campaigns that support Snap’s business goals

Provide support to Snap’s policy team to educate and advance Snap’s position on emerging and established policies and government regulations.

Facilitate our rapid response program to ensure media and other thought leaders have access to accurate and timely information.

Work on high volume, fast paced litigation environments in collaboration with Snap’s legal team.

Collaborate with a close-knit global communications team to help support our communications priorities.

Create and oversee an organized roadmap for public appearances and speaking opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Excellent media relationships with senior level policy, financial and tech editors and reporters

Strong command of the tech, media, policy and cultural landscape.

Experience working in-house on tech policy issues.

Strong communicator who is well versed in working with press, industry thought leaders, working groups, and varied trade associations.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and independently manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Ability to build strong working relationships cross-functionally and across different time zones.

Ability to balance critical thinking with tactical execution and attention to detail, in the face of frequent inbound enquiries and other requests.

Excellent news judgment, as well as exceptional writing and communications skills.

Crisis communications and issues management experience.

Excellent project management skills.

Able to serve as a Snap spokesperson as needed.

Minimum Qualifications :

BS / BA degree or equivalent years of experience

10+ minimum years of experience in communications or public relations

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.

These pay zones may be modified in the future.

The base salary range for this position is $202,000-$303,000 annually.

The base salary range for this position is $192,000-$288,000 annually.

The base salary range for this position is $172,000-$257,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
