We provide expertise and technology in media preservation, restoration, and distribution to protect, preserve, and maximize the value of entertainment assets for studios, sports organizations, media companies, record labels, and ad agencies, among others.

Providing industry expertise and cutting-edge technology to protect your media assets across their entire lifecycle, Iron Mountain MAS is committed to secure storage and preservation including climate-appropriate storage and logistics, analog or physical format remediation, digitization, digital preservation, and distribution.

Reporting to the SVP, Head of Americas Commercial, the VP, Media & Archive Services (VP) will set and drive the strategy responsible for the overall success of Iron Mountain’s Global MAS business, including end-to-end ownership of the revenues, growth, solutioning, service delivery and EBITDA across the entire suite of offerings.

With a highly sophisticated understanding of MAS customer needs, market differentiation, technology-led services, and competitor offerings, the VP will enable the Commercial teams in the GISV and Enterprise segments to meet the MYP and the annual bookings numbers.

The leader will also drive partner relationships and develop corporate development opportunities. The role will be key in coordination of efforts across the functional areas of Iron Mountain (e.

g, HR, IT, Finance, Solutioning, Implementation, and Product Management) to ensure the near-term needs of the customers and operations are met and the longer-term planning is aligned with the regional, global, and product strategies.

As the global business owner, the VP has accountability for driving customer satisfaction, positive employee experience, business development, operational excellence, and safety within the region.

The VP will have direct leadership responsibility for a $100M P&L across multiple centers globally and has oversight for a team of seven direct reports and an overall staff of 400.

Role and Responsibilities

Service Delivery : The VP will be responsible for the performance of all MAS operations. This performance includes customer KPIs for on-time performance, quality, and any other pertinent measurements required by Iron Mountain customer agreements.

The VP must be equally adept at identifying root causes of delivery issues, identifying appropriate remediation, and overseeing the remediation activities in the regions.

The VP will achieve these through Operational Excellence and Production Management & Cross Functional Coordination.

Financial Execution & Oversight : Working with the SVP and the finance business partner, the VP will be responsible for the financial planning and performance of MAS Operations across the globe.

This includes financial forecasting and delivering the financial results expected by the business. In partnership with the finance business partner through the analysis of trends and the monitoring of P&L, the VP will manage financial performance of the five operating regions.

They will develop and execute appropriate plans to achieve targets based on current performance and forecasted trends. Working alongside directors and the finance business partner, the VP will develop gap plans to minimize risk of missing financial objectives and to manage annual operating and capex budgets that are consistent with market strategy.

With responsibility for increasing market share and improving profitability, the VP will be charged with pricing and structuring deals to acquire new business with the objectives of maintaining a high rate of growth, favorable internal rate of return, and economic margin.

Business Development : The VP will drive revenue growth for each region by partnering with the sales teams in developing, identifying, and implementing marketing and selling strategies.

Partnering with sales and customer service teams, the VP will ensure SLAs are met and will develop relationships with top customers (strategic, multi-city, and large local).

They will participate in key account renewals with authority to sign contracts. Additionally, the VP will work closely with sales / account management on opportunities as well as on removing obstacles to expedite revenue generation.

They will drive initiatives within the regions and participate in regional acquisitions.

Leadership, Talent Development, & Culture : While the VP will need to earn and maintain the role of operational expert for the organization in the region, much focus should be placed on teaching operations management resources and lending experience in order to build scale and develop talent.

The VP should also play a role in identifying high-potential talent that can be counted on for stretch assignments or are ready to serve in expanded roles based upon previous performance.

Succession as well as contingency planning will also be part of this leader’s professional mandate.
