Backus Hospital, with a trauma center and LIFE STAR helicopter services, is looking for a compassionate and skilled nurse to provide patient-centered care.
Responsibilities :
- Utilize evidence-based practices to develop comprehensive patient care plans
- Adhere to nursing standards and State Nurse Practice Act
- Meet physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and families
Qualifications :
- Graduate of a school of nursing; BSN or MSN preferred
- 1 year of RN experience; 2 years in cardiac laboratory preferred
- Current unrestricted RN license in State of CT
- Ability to obtain and maintain ACLS and PALS certifications within 90 days of hire
- Current BLS upon hire
Skills and Abilities :
- Knowledge of nursing principles and practices
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a flexible manner
- Basic computer knowledge
