About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse - Oncology

Profession : Registered Nurse

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 8 Hour Days

Hours per Shift : 40

Experience : Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience

License : Registered Nurse

Certifications : BLS and chemotherapy certification for infusion clinic required; OCN preferred but not required

Must-Have :

Chemotherapy infusion experience

Chart checks

Rooming patients : Vital signs, weight, review of systems check, medication reconciliation

Description :

This position is for an outpatient clinic setting.

Nurses will see an average number of patients daily.

First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Permanent staff must wait one full year to return as travelers.

Patient types include medical oncology and chemotherapy infusion.

Support on the unit includes a charge nurse and resource nurse.

Phlebotomy services are not applicable.

There is no floating to other units.

Charting is done using the Epic system.

Medications are dispensed via Omnicell.

There is no weekend rotation or on-call requirements.

Holiday expectations and time-off requests are supported.

Scrub colors for nursing staff are navy blue; scrub colors for clinical assistants or medical assistants are gray.

Free parking is available for all staff.
