As a Solutions Engineer, you will be pivotal in supporting Amazon's expansive corporate IT and campus infrastructure, a vast network that underpins the operations of one of the world's most innovative and fast-paced companies.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing solutions that power Amazon's Corporate IT infrastructure. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineering, data center operations, and corporate IT support, to ensure that all systems are optimized for performance, security, and scalability.

Your expertise will be crucial in driving the adoption of new technologies through a "consultative" and "customer first" mindset, ensuring that Amazon's infrastructure continues to meet the evolving needs of its employees worldwide.

By leveraging your deep technical knowledge and problem-solving skills, you will help Amazon maintain its leadership position in the technology space, enabling the company to deliver on its mission to be Earth's most customer-centric company.

Additional Responsibilities Include :

T echnical Strategy

Develop a deep understanding of Amazon's current and future architecture. Co-create, Co-develop and Co-innovate with Amazon on strategic engineering initiatives to enhance the efficiency, safety, and scalability of the Campus infrastructure and associated subsidiaries.

Lead with an automation programmability first mindset and advanced technologies to drive operational excellence.

Cross-functional Collaboration

Collaborate closely across the Amazon teams to understand business needs and translate them into engineering solutions. Build and expand on strong partnerships across Amazon (Engineering Leadership, Principal Architects, key decision makers) and Cisco (BU executives, Engineering key collaborators) to drive alignment and achieve common goals.

Continuous Improvement

Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize existing processes and methodologies. Offer solutions, not problems.

Take calculative risks and learn from mistakes. Stay relevant, constantly evaluate and be a change agent!

Lead by Example

Foster a culture of curiosity, ownership, customer obsession, results oriented and earning trust by listening, speaking candidly, and treating everyone with respect.

You will be working with the best-in-class Technical Sales team for one of the biggest Hyperscalers Cloud Providers in the world - Amazon! You will collaborate and partner closely with the Amazon Client Director, Client Execs, Technical Account Managers, Solutions Engineers, Specialists, BU Product and Engineering teams, Services Sellers, CX Delivery teams, Partners and ASP-Web colleagues - to name a few!

understand Amazon's business model to help them identify an architecture and / or solution that provides return on investment.

You have a sophisticated understanding of industry trends, including products and solutions - existing and new. You can articulate trade-offs between Cisco and competitor products.

  • Dive Deep : Analyze the root causes of complex networking issues, using data-driven insights to troubleshoot problems, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions that address the underlying challenges.
  • Deliver Results : Consistently deliver high-quality network solutions that meet or exceed performance metrics, contributing to Amazon's ability to maintain its position as a leader in technology and innovation.

Minimum qualifications for this role :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering Science or related field
  • 5 or more years of engineering experience
  • Strong technical background in one or more of the following areas of technology - Security, Enterprise Networking, Full Stack Observability, SDWAN

Preferred qualifications for this role :

  • Understanding of automation, programmability, and observability tools such as grafana, a plus
  • Advanced degree, CCIE or equivalent industry certifications, AWS certifications a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, get results, and manage complex engineering projects.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of industry trends and standard methodologies.
