Milwaukee Tool is seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our growing Business Analytics team in Milwaukee, WI.

Your Role on Our Team

Milwaukee Tool values candidates who have a strong focus on business acumen. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be working closely with business leaders and stakeholders to identify opportunities to leverage data to drive business outcomes with a focus on inventory optimization.

Therefore, it is essential that you have a deep understanding of the business and the industry, as well as the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations for business partners.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communication, exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning.

You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities : ?

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business problems, design solutions, deploy predictive models, and manage the model lifecycle

Use statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze large data sets, create predictive models, and identify insights that drive business value

Develop and maintain analytical models and algorithms to support inventory optimization

Implement data-driven solutions using Python and deploy them into production

Perform exploratory data analysis, data visualization, and data cleansing to ensure high-quality data inputs for the models

Communicate complex analyses and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence

The TOOLS you'll bring with you :

Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field

3+ years of experience with demonstrated experience developing and tuning predictive models and machine learning algorithms

Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in training and deploying models into production

Understanding of Spark and parallel cloud computation

Strong statistical and mathematical skills, with experience in regression analysis, clustering, and other machine learning techniques

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex analyses to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Experience with data intelligences solutions that support end user's analysis and discussion making, including reports, dashboards, scorecards, and data visualizations

Strong problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision making

Experience in manufacturing or similar industries is a plus

Experience in marketing and consumer insights is a plus

Understanding of DevOps for CI / CD is a plus
