About the Role

A Senior Consultant in our Analytics practice is a solution-oriented role proactively performing business intelligence capabilities and providing data insights on large scale projects for clients.

As a Senior Consultant, you will lead clients as a trusted advisor through their data enhancement journey. You will also utilize your understanding of Microsoft Power BI and related data visualization technologies to lead and execute related Analytics projects.

What you will do

  • Act as the team expert on Microsoft Power BI for data visualization project needs.
  • Execute business intelligence and analytics projects for Sparkhound clients.
  • Understand our clients businesses and the enterprise information systems that run them.
  • Serve as clients trusted partner.
  • Function as a hands-on data analyst and architect with exceptional skills for manipulating data on a variety of platforms.
  • Understand and apply general business acumen on different business functions including finance and accounting, sales, marketing, etc.
  • Assist coworkers in the completion of tasks and assignments. Actively supports teamwork throughout the organization.
  • Assist the larger Sparkhound community to manage projects, test information systems, and implement solutions across all our lines of business.

Experience & Technical Qualifications

  • Expert in Microsoft Power BI
  • 4-year Bachelor of Science degree. Bachelor of Computer Sciences preferred.
  • Active certification as a Microsoft Data Analyst Associate OR Azure Fundamentals preferred.
  • At least 5 years of project or consulting experience with business intelligence and analytics technologies in at least one of the following four areas : business analysis, enterprise data warehousing, business intelligence, and predictive analytics.
  • Previous experience as a consultant with a large consulting firm.
  • Expert analysis skills backed by experience with big data, cloud computing, ERP systems, and modern business intelligence and data visualization tools.
  • Experience as an architect or project lead on enterprise level engagements.
  • Experienced in descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics techniques and algorithms.
  • Strong understanding of common information systems, metrics, and reports for Financial, Workforce, Sales & Marketing business functions.
  • Expert knowledge of common business modeling problems including customer / employee retention, up sell / cross sell, risk management, collections management, fraud detection, etc.
  • Able to create a budget plan, account balance, exception, and other common report types.
  • Expert understanding of dashboarding, mashups, pivot tables, and lists, bar graphs, line graphs, box and whisker plots, tree maps, scatterplots, histograms, Pareto charts, control charts, small multiples, sparklines, and when such visualizations should be used.
  • Expert understanding of relational, dimensional, and entity modeling techniques including Kimball data warehousing and willingness to develop expertise.
  • Proven ability to interpret and query relational databases, data warehouses, OLAP cubes, and Microsoft tabular models.
  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

A day in the life of an Assistant Branch Manager :

  • Manages the daily operations of an First Horizon Bank's branch
  • Coaches branch team on financial operations as well as training them on seeking opportunities to deepen client relationships.
  • Assists in staffing a branch as well as continuing development of existing branch associates.
  • Maintain work flow and handle scheduling the Tellers.
  • Evaluation of employees performance and issuing of counseling when needed.
  • Determine and satisfy training needs and establishing performance plans.
  • Identify and refer customers to appropriate departments.
  • Generate cross sales and referrals to generate new business and additional services.
  • Promote bank products and further establish business relationships.
  • Conduct meetings to institute new policies and procedures, to promote sales, product knowledge, and customer service to ensure continuous development of staff.
  • Open checking accounts, savings accounts, and provide all other deposit product services at the customers request.
  • Explain product benefits, changes, restrictions, requirements, and any other relevant product information to customers and staff.
  • Ensure proper control and maximum efficiency in the teller line.
  • Provide teller line support in order to keep the customer wait time to a minimum and customer service to a maximum.
  • Ensures all audit and security policies and procedures are followed during customer service hours and at banking office opening and closing.
  • Control the inventory of cash, Travelers Cheques, Official Checks and Personal Money Orders through dual control.
  • Monitor the daily balancing and processing of ATM and night / lobby depositories, including the processing of all entries, servicing and required audits.
  • Alert staff of any suspected fraud, kiting, theft or other illegal activity.
  • Secure all applicable cash records and all other transaction records, supplies and computer equipment at the end of the work day.
  • Assist Branch Manager in monitoring daily transactions including NSF, OD etc and take appropriate action within the authority to maintain operations within established guide lines.
  • Monitor the daily teller cash limits through the branch cash balancing report to ensure that the total cash in the branch is balanced daily.
  • Coordinate and assist with the dual control vault responsibilities.
