My client, a nationally acclaimed 40-year-old Architecture & Engineering Firm is looking to hire a Senior Accounting Manager.

This will be a vital and integral role responsible for collaborating with the Financial Controller and Senior Executives providing oversight of company business, financial reporting, and administrative support.

As the Senior Accounting Manager, you will be a resource firm wide providing mentorship and support to senior accountants and administrative personnel across multiple company offices.

We’re looking for the best and the brightest! The ideal candidate will possess a successful track-record of leading and inspiring accounting teams across multiple offices and bring a strong understanding of Deltek Vision and Vantage Point software.

Due to the integral nature of the role, this position will require 5 days in-office weekly.

Responsibilities :

• The primary responsibility of this role will be to support the company Controller with management of all finance and accounting operations including AR / AP, cost accounting, inventory accounting, revenue, budgets and forecasting, general ledger, reconciliations, internal audits, financial analysis, and monthly / annual close.
• Provide support and supervision to accounting and administrative staff.
• Oversee the management of company Payroll, Corporate Tax, and other related routine business items.
• Review financial statements at month end close.
• Assist Controller with the creation of executive summaries of current and projected financial position and present interpretation and recommendations to senior executives and ownership.
• Supervise cash management to include wire transfers / bank check requests, deposit review, bank draws, bank reconciliations.
• Maintain strong internal accounting processes and controls.
• Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions.

Requirements :

• Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management preferred.
• 7+ years of demonstrated Senior Accounting experience within the Architecture, Engineering, or Project Construction industries.
• Must possess extensive experience with project management, contracts, project budgets, and organizational finance of a $20M+ company.
• Understanding of applications of Federal Accounting Rules (FAR) and supporting projects in professional services and design-build projects preferred.
• Experience working with and leading a team of project accountants.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. Excellent communicator with a passion for learning and contributing.
• Software proficiency in Deltek Vision and Vantage Point (Required)
