Maintenance Technician
Homeowners Association in Bolingbrook Illinois consisting of 672 homes is looking for a hardworking, cooperative, dedicated, and dependable full-time Maintenance Technician in the maintenance department.
This hourly position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week (Monday through Friday). Candidates must have prior maintenance or related experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
The maintenance department consists of a Lead Maintenance Technician, and two Maintenance Technicians who report directly to the Community Association Manager.
Duties include but are not limited to the following :
Complete work orders daily assigned by the management office as distributed by the Lead Maintenance Technician. Candidates must have some type of snow removal experience (snowblowers / salt spreaders) and be willing to learn or have the ability to operate a truck snow plow & salt spreader, maintaining the overall cleanliness of the community.
Some Experience in one or more of these related fields; carpentry, electrical, plumbing, concrete, roofing, siding & painting is a plus.
The applicant will also have the ability to work on roofs and ladders which is required. Applicant should be comfortable standing for extended periods of time and with lifting equipment and supplies.
Applicant needs to have the ability to be cross-trained by the Lead Maintenance Technician to increase their skill. Facilitate the distribution and completion of all work orders on a daily basis noting the progress of all work for office follow-up.
The candidate must agree to be on call in inclement weather for snow removal and emergency situations. Since this is an hourly position, overtime is available as needed.
Other duties as instructed by the Management Office.
Compensation : Salary equivalent to $18.00 per hour ($37,440.00). Additionally, Winston Village Association makes a contribution of $200 per month towards benefits ($2,400 / Annually).
A $150 work boot annual allowance is provided after 90 days of employment and then annually thereafter. Paid vacation is accrued after completion of one (1) year of service.
Sick time is accrued at a rate of ½ day per month of employment up to a maximum of five (5) days per calendar year. The employee is eligible for sick time accrual after the completion of the first ninety (90) days of service / probationary period.
Requirements :
- Background check and drug test- applicant must agree to have this done by the association, prior to being offered a position
- Driver’s License- applicants must have a valid Illinois driver’s license and a driving record that will allow us to add them to the company insurance policy to drive our maintenance trucks
- The potential candidate must complete a Covid test, at the association's expense with a negative result after being offered the position prior to 1st day of employment.
