Overview

The Logistics Specialist provides a safe and secure environment, adhering to all U.S. laws and regulations, while transporting unaccompanied children (UC) and / or family units (FAMU).

Travel may include domestic ground transportation to facilities and / or airports. The Logistics Specialist must adhere to process and procedures as directed under the contract.

This position performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.

Responsibilities

  • Drive passengers to and from client sites or airports.
  • Log and reporting of all vehicle activities into mobile application.
  • Clean vehicles, sanitizes interiors and ensures they are fueled and ready for ground
  • trips.
  • Assign vehicles based on the number of Child & Family Protection Care Specialists (Transportation Specialists / Travel Chaperones / Escorts) and unaccompanied children (UC) and / or family units (FAMU) traveling;

installs and removes child seats based on age and height / weight as required.

  • Inventory UC / FAMU supplies for clothing, shoes, toiletries, orders and assembles individual
  • hygiene packs.
  • Orders UC / FAMU meals, snacks and beverages.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

Possess an associate degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited university

a high school diploma with an extra two or more years of relevant experience may be

substituted for an associate degree).

Have at least two years of documented experience in a field related to law, social work,

detention, corrections, or similar occupational area; as well as certification, licensure,

and credentials applicable to the professional accreditation of the position if applicable

a minimum of three years of experience in a related field is required when a high

school diploma with one or more years of relevant experience is substituted for an

associate degree).

  • Valid Drivers License.
  • Demonstrate experience applicable to the goals and objectives of this program.

  • Must be up to date on Vaccinations and Immunizations, including but not limited to the recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and / or clients at any time during employment.

Minimum Skills :

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization.
  • Shall have the requisite skills, expertise, and experience to perform the requirements of each task. Must be extremely detail-oriented and well organized.
  • Must have basic skills using Microsoft and Google Suite Products (Word, Excel, Power Point) and be able to learn new software as the situation dictates.

Reports to : Program Manager

Working Conditions

  • May require Domestic and International Travel.
  • Conditions may vary depending on Location and mode of Transportation.
  • Able to communicate verbally and listen for constant surveillance of children and staff activities.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties while standing for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
  • Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen.
  • May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.
  • May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.
  • May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.

Pay Range

USD $70,000.00 - USD $75,000.00 / Yr.
