We are seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide essential care for veterans in their homes. This role focuses on addressing the unique challenges faced by veterans, providing essential support to help them maintain their independence and quality of life at home.

Responsibilities :

Some of the responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following :

Assist with bathing and personal hygiene.

Help with dressing and grooming.

Provide toileting assistance and incontinence care.

Assist with eating and meal preparation.

Support with transferring and mobility.

Document all care provided and daily activities accurately.

Such other responsibilities as authorized.

Additional Duties :

Prepare meals as needed.

Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean environment.

Remind clients to take medications as directed.

Provide transportation to appointments or activities.

Assist with shopping and errands.

Assist with using the telephone or other communication devices.

Offer companionship and emotional support.

Engage veterans in social activities to promote mental well-being.

Help with laundry and changing linens.

Monitor and report changes in the veteran's condition.

Requirements :

Must have current CNA certification in Iowa.

Proof of certification required.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Reliable transportation required

Valid driver's license and clean driving record

May involve driving veterans to appointments or other locations as needed

Background checks required

Physical Requirements :

Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods

Capable of assisting with patient transfers and positioning

Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
