Job Title : Patient Account Representative

Location : Smyrna, GA (Fully Onsite)

Job Type : Full-time

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Patient Account Representative to join our team at a busy physician's office in Smyrna, GA.

The ideal candidate should be customer service-oriented, organized, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities :

  • Answer patient inquiries regarding their accounts
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
  • Submit and track insurance claims
  • Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and patient balances
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Process patient payments and adjustments
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth patient billing processes
  • Work with insurance companies to ensure timely payments

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare-related field preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare billing and collections, preferably in a physician's office or healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of medical billing codes, terminology, and insurance regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and completeness
