Jamie Benway with Robert Half is looking to bring on board a VP / Director of Finance in our team located in Portland, Oregon, United States.
The individual will play a significant role in the solar industry, overseeing budget processes, and managing strategic financial operations.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the finance department to ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee and manage budget processes, ensuring financial efficiency and accuracy.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and potential areas of improvement.
- Collaborate with the executive team to make strategic financial decisions that align with the company's goals.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.
- Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
- Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take.
- Maintain the financial health of the organization.

- Proven experience in a similar role such as VP / Director of Finance in a comparable organization
- Strong understanding and expertise in budget processes
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Exceptional financial and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail
- Advanced knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis
- Proficient in the use of financial software and applications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial staff
- A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; an MBA or related advanced degree is preferred
- Professional certification such as CFA / CPA or similar will be considered a plus
- Adherence to personal and professional ethical standards
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with complex transactions
- Proven negotiation skills with experience in managing relationships with key stakeholders.
