The Fire EMS Quality Improvement Coordinator plays a vital role in this mission, continuously working towards improvement of all aspects of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) we provide to our valued communities.
We are currently looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual to join our team. As the Fire EMS Quality Improvement Coordinator, you will monitor District EMS activities to evaluate performance in a variety of areas, analyze in-depth data and reports and identify areas or processes for improvement, and develop recommendations to ensure the highest quality services moving forward.
This position is responsible for the development of curriculum for EMS training and continuing education, as well as conducting classroom education and trainings to ensure conformance with State and County standards and continuous quality improvement.

What you will typically be responsible for :
- Ensuring that QA / QI and training aligns with applicable contracts.
- Auditing patient care reports for proper utilization of treatment modalities.
- Collaborating with EMS stakeholders to identify system trends and training needs.
- Attending multiple committee and training meetings in order to establish regional continuity.
- Developing and delivering of EMS curriculum.

License Required : Possession of (1) Valid California driver's license and (2) Valid California Registered Nurse license;
Experience : Two (2) years of full-time (or the equivalent of full-time) experience delivering pre-hospital advanced life support or emergency medical services as a registered nurse or paramedic.
Qualifying experience must include preparation and presentation of instruction and / or continuing education to emergency medical care providers.
Selection Process

- Remote Structured Interview : Candidates who possess the minimum qualifications will be invited to participate in an online interview.
In the oral interview, candidates must achieve an average passing score of 70% or higher on each of the oral interview competencies, as well as an overall passing score of 70% or higher.
The interview will measure candidates' competencies as they relate to the Fire EMS Quality Improvement Coordinator classification.
These may include, but are not limited to : Critical Thinking, Delivering Results, Safety Focus, Action & Results Focused, Attention to Detail, Establishing Credibility, Professional Integrity & Ethics, and Building & Maintaining Relationships. (Weighted 89%)
Remote Performance Assessment : Candidates who pass the structured interview will be invited to participate in the performance assessment.
In the performance assessment, candidates must achieve an overall passing score of 70% or higher. The performance assessment will measure candidates' report writing skills as they relate to the Fire EMS Quality Improvement Coordinator classification. (Weighted 11%)
TENTATIVE EXAM DATES Tentative Remote Structured Interview : week of December 4, 2023 Tentative Performance Assessment : week of December 18, 2023
Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee an invitation to participate in the selection process.

CONVICTION HISTORY

DISASTER SERVICE WORKER
