Summary : Howmet Structure Systems has an immediate opening for an Electrician located at our Canton facility. This position is responsible for installation and repair of electrical systems, devices and electrical / electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
Salary based on experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : This is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities; it is intended to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities of an Electrician.
- Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.
- Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
- Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
- Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other appropriate personnel to diagnose malfunction.
- Troubleshoot PLC programming as well as various communication formats.
- Replaces faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, motors, and sensors.
- Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty components such as printed circuit boards.
- Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors.
- Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical devices in buildings.
- Work with 480V 3 Phase electricity as well as high voltage up to 138KV.
- Knowledgeable of the National Electric Code and OSHA regulations and NFPA regulations regarding arc flash.
- May need to install / remove non-electrical components while working on a specific issue.
- Must be flexible with work schedule, must be willing to be on call, work weekends and overtime as needed.
- Provide support and offer guidance to cross-functional team members
- Adhere to all standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with all safety and quality processes.
