Our client is a global, research-driven pharmaceutical manufacturer focusing on treatment options for diseases and conditions for which there is no satisfactory treatment option to date. The company is looking for a Visual Inspection Technician to join the team.

Location : Alameda County, CA

Pay rate : $27 / hr. - $29 / hr.

Shift : 1st Shift (Mon–Fri, 6 : 00 AM – 2 : 30 PM)

Job Summary

The Visual Inspection Technician is responsible for executing routine and complex operations related to the visual inspection of drug products in a cGMP-regulated, multi-product manufacturing facility. The technician performs duties with limited supervision, adhering to standard operating procedures and safety standards, ensuring quality and compliance throughout all activities.

Key Responsibilities

Perform visual and advanced visual inspection of drug products.
Execute palletizing, cleaning, inspection hood prep, and BioMES operations.
Support drug product filling, packaging, and internal logistics coordination.
Maintain accurate and compliant documentation (cGMP, cGDP).
Initiate and track work orders; contribute to batch record execution and equipment log entries.
Assist with training kit creation / maintenance and support project-related activities.
Participate in safety protocols and area 5S maintenance.
Report deviations / abnormalities and support corrective actions and investigations.
Train others upon completion of trainer qualification.

Qualifications

High School Diploma with at least 1 year of cGMP manufacturing experience required.

Associate / Bachelor’s degree or biotechnology vocational training preferred.

Minimum 1 year in a GMP-regulated environment.

Experience with visual inspection, packaging, and biotech manufacturing operations.

Proficiency with SOPs, cGMP, and documentation practices.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and accuracy.

Competency with computer systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. depending on inspection area needs.

Physical activity may be required.

Visual clarity and color discrimination essential.
