The Water Wastewater Engineer will provide support for civil and environmental engineering projects including wastewater collection system infrastructure evaluation, rehabilitation, and design, and water distribution system design.

Locations : Austin, TX

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Engineering with a minimum of 7 years of experience, 10 preferred.
• Texas-Licensed P.E. certification
• Minimum three years of experience working with Austin Water and City of Austin projects.
• This position will require an estimated local travel / field work for site inspections and meetings with client site representative and construction contractors.
• Excellent writing / verbal communication skills for interaction with multi-disciplinary staff, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Excellent organization and design planning skills.
• Self-starter, detailed oriented, and finisher.
• Proficient using typical business software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Adobe, etc.).
• AutoCAD / GIS operating knowledge is preferred.

• Project permitting with City of Austin and coordination with regulatory agencies

• Utility coordination
• Erosion / sedimentation control and tree protection plans
• Engineering cost estimating and analysis
• Wastewater flow development and hydraulics analysis
• Engineering design calculations
• Engineering specification review and preparation of contract documents for construction
• Bid and award services
• Construction phase engineering services.
• Prepare project scopes of work and budget estimates
• Coordinate with team surveying, geotechnical, structural engineering, and electrical engineering subconsultants
• Coordinate with internal QA / QC reviewers, financial analysts, and administrative assistants.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range : $62,000 - $82,700 - $103,300
