Position Overview :
ProCare Therapy is seeking a Special Education Teacher to fill a position in our Barnstead, NH school district! This is a full-time contract position with weekly pay.
You would assist 20-24 students ages 4th-6th grade. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate educator who can create individualized learning plans, implement effective teaching strategies, and collaborate with other staff members and families to support student success.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Ability and flexibility to move classrooms within district
- Create and adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Coordinate with general education teachers to support students in mainstream classes.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Active SPED Certification
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation. (Specifically NHSEIS)
- Experience with academic testing is preferred. WIAT-3 training is provided if not familiar.
Salary and Benefits :
- Hourly Rate : $35-$340. Pay range dependent on experience / school district budget.
