POSITION : Outside Sales - Equipment Rentals

COMPENSATION : Competitive salary + DOE

BENEFITS : Standard package

LOCATION : Houston, Texas

SUMMARY : The Outside Sales will identify, introduce, develop and cultivate business relationships with companies and individuals within their designated territory requiring emergency or planned outage temporary rental solutions for power generation, compressed air, temperature control or other specialized needs.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Develop, plan, and organize sales strategies to achieve desired results / goals
  • Maintain and exceed quotas by renting solutions on a consistent basis
  • Identify customer’s needs and react appropriately while understanding the market conditions and local competitors pricing
  • Penetrate customers at the strategic level to diversify customer base to include industrial, traditional, and nontraditional accounts
  • Team with all sales teams and divisions within the local market to identify and develop target accounts
  • Responsible for personal productivity, using all company tools and systems to maximize revenue and continually accelerate growth
  • Support and participate in team sales initiatives by sharing information and providing support in account sales and service activities
  • Collaborate with all company division representatives to promote cross selling to accounts wherever possible
  • Responsible for the sales and marketing of rental and purchase of equipment
  • Aids in implementing, sustaining, and developing quality improvement processes that focus on safety, financials, operations, and customer service
  • Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 3-5 years of experience preferred knowledge of specialty equipment and rental industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales, solution selling)
  • Excellent selling, negotiating, and closing skills with ability to build long term business relationships
  • Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and Salesforce CRM
  • Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization
  • First-class organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills, deadline oriented
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
