AHL Healthcare Group, Inc. is located throughout Minnesota where we operate Community Residential Settings (CRS) homes for adults with developmental disabilities or mental illness.

AHL- At Home Living has something for everyone, from country living to the suburbs! Our Corporate office is in Duluth where we manage 12 CRS homes, 2 Assisted Living Facilities and a 3rd in the remodeling stages, plus 16 homes in our Metro Fridley office, a suburb of the Twin Cities and our Metro West division, based in Cokato and its surrounding areas, recently expanded from 9 to 12 CRS homes.

Job description for the Carpenter-Construction position.

This position will be responsible for providing carpentry and construction services for our residential foster care homes, assisted living facilities, and both residential and commercial rental properties (CPP).

In this unique position you are working in our homes doing repairs, regular maintenance along with some remodeling as needed.

Being mindful of the clients who reside in the homes while working there as we want them to feel at home always!

What is a Carpenter / Construction workers day consist of along with the job responsibilities?

Demonstrating positive and supportive behavior with the clients and coworkers.

Ensure jobs are getting done correctly and timely.

Performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair for all properties within At Home Living Facilities, Inc.

Assisted Living by AHL, and CPP Properties, Inc.

Presents and maintains a professional appearance and demeanor throughout daily interactions with owners, customers, inspectors, subcontractors, suppliers, and all AHL personnel.

Property turnover maintenance to include : painting apartments, rekeying / replacing locks, hauling belongings to the dump, etc.

Selective demolition including removing walls, flooring, ceilings, doors, finishes, etc.

Metal and wood stud framing, drywall hanging, wall sheathing, backing, blocking and other rough carpentry duties as assigned.

Installation / replacement of doors, windows, floors, and hardware.

Basic plumbing and electrical to include replacing or repairing : light fixtures, outlets, toilets, sinks, P-Traps, water heaters, troubleshooting heating systems, etc.

FRP installation and the installation of bath accessories and bath partitions and layout thereof.

Finish carpentry including the installation of cabinetry, running trim and misc. finishes

Compensations : $28.00 to $30.00 per hour

Requirements : 18 years or older

Available to work every other weekend

Current Driver's License, Car Insurance, and a Clean Record
